Is there a difference between a Clementine and a Delite?
Clementines and Delites are both mandarins but there is no relationship at
this time between the two varieties. A Clementine encompasses many
different varieties such as Clemenules, Fina Sodea and Hernandia. All of
these varieties are Clementines but differ slightly in maturity, size or
eating quality. The Delite is one variety. It was originally discovered in
Morocco. It matures later than the various Clementine varieties and has
unique qualities in regards to flavor, appearance and eating quality.
Is there a difference between a Sweetie Clementine and
other clementines?
The Sweetie Clementine represents the best that a
Clementine has to offer. Only the best Clementine varieties are packed as
Sweeties. There are many Clementine varieties that are not worth eating.
